World Weather helps travellers compare current forecasts, seasonal climate, sea temperature, UV, pollen and official weather warnings in one consistent format.

Who publishes the service?

The service is published by Rubicone, an independent publisher based in the European Union. The site has one clear subject: practical weather information for planning trips. Questions and corrections can be sent through the contact page.

Forecast and environmental data

The main 14-day forecast originates from OpenWeather data collected and maintained in the hikersbay.com database. Our daily build reads the current dataset from that database and turns it into static pages. Sea forecasts and UV data come from Open-Meteo. Pollen forecasts use CAMS data. Air-quality sections use readings from public monitoring stations.

Warnings are kept separate from model forecasts: Poland uses IMGW-PIB information, European warnings come from Meteoalarm/EUMETNET, and global warning summaries use the WMO Severe Weather Information Centre. For safety-critical decisions, always follow the original national authority.

How pages and rankings are created

Pages are generated automatically once a day. The generator combines the latest forecast with stored climate aggregates and deterministic editorial rules. A country’s current value and ranking position use the median of available city forecasts, with the local temperature range shown alongside it. This prevents one faulty or unrepresentative point from deciding the result for a whole country. A clearly identified country point is used only when no city forecasts are available. Monthly pages describe long-term averages rather than pretending to be forecasts months ahead.

Automation is used because the service covers countries and cities worldwide. It does not replace source attribution or quality checks: route uniqueness, canonical URLs, language alternates, metadata and structured data are validated before deployment.

Limitations and corrections

Weather forecasts are probabilistic and become less certain further into the future. Local terrain, coastline and rapidly changing conditions can differ from a model value.
